Here’s why we love Green Circle Salons:

It’s no secret; our industry can be wasteful. The beauty industry sends 877 pounds of waste to the landfill every single minute. Yup, you read that correctly. Thank you to Green Circle Salons website for that startling statistic. It’s a reality that we had to face as a salon. How do we offset the waste we’re creating and ensure that the chemicals we use are properly disposed of?

Green Circle Salons has come to the rescue, recycling and repurposing up to 95% of wastes for salons across North America. As a certified Sustainable Salon, all of our excess hair colour, hair clippings, PPE waste, paper, plastic and more are recycled or repurposed.

Excess hair clippings can be turned in bio-composite waste, used to research and develop new environmental technologies.

Excess hair colour can be turned into clean energy, or separated into oil and water which is then turned into fuel or returned to our water systems, respectively.

Metals are sorted, melted down into metal sheets and used to make car parts and new bicycles!
